Children can come to karting from 8 years old, subject to a minimum height of 4’ 7”.

Children do not race with adults, but have their own events.

Different events have a different minimum age, please ensure you check your child is old enough for the event you would like to book.

Motorsport can be dangerous. All drivers under 16 must have parental consent and must be accompanied by a supervising adult.

 

Karting Youth Club

The Club is designed to offer youngsters between 8 and 15 years of age the opportunity to experience the excitement of motor racing in a safe and controlled environment.

All equipment will be provided and full tuition and training will be offered to give a good grounding in the basics of safety, kart control and race technique.

Each session lasts one and a half hours with drivers offered as much track time as possible depending on numbers (usually two goes each) including one to one tuition. Lessons can be taken as a one off experience or as a series of lessons leading to a Race Trainers License and the opportunity to enter the Junior Grand Prix Championships.  There is a height restriction of 4'7".

Similar to our Monday nights, but only for families and juniors. All adults need to be accompanied by a junior (min age 12 unless Raceway qualified). The first group will go out for the first session at 16:30, and can Kart til they drop!
Cost - £30 per driver
16:30 until 20:30 every Tuesday evening
Booking is highly recommended as spaces are limited!

Birthday Parties

The Raceway Group is now offering Junior Parties giving children the chance to experience 45 mph indoor Karting in a safe and controlled environment.

The Junior Party can be booked on either weekday daytimes after school or on Sundays.  It takes the form of a lesson, introducing drivers to the fundamental skill of driving a Racing Kart with all the equipment provided. All events must be booked in advance. All drivers must be aged 10-15, and the minimum height is 4’7”.
